Coordinated the complete redesign of the usdf.org website (it has since been redesigned again). Conducted card sorting (Information Architecture IA) and SEO meetings, ran a content analysis, conducted local user analysis using Web analytics software and user feedback, developed wireframe and working concepts, presented designs to leadership for buy in, designed and developed the new site, and reported to the Board of Directors on progress. The site launched according to schedule.
Project managed and assisted with the development of the online planning and assessment system for Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC). AIM was delivered ahead of schedule thereby saving the college $10,000 per year in WeaveOnline® renewal fees. BCTC now has a robust easy-to-use planning and assessment system to measure and improve the quality of education and long-term well-being of the college.
Project manage and assist with the design and development of a local digital ad campaign with responsive landing pages. Configure interest forms, Google Analytics event handlers, and Google AdWords. Coordinate with marketing personnel on landing page specifics and the implementation plan. Develop dashboard views/ custom reports for tracking the campaign.
Coordinated the local website content audit at Bluegrass Community and Technical College. Worked with KCTCS marketing to educated 100+ content managers at our college on writing for the web best practices and the content auditing process. Developed and implemented a web content evaluation strategy to ensure the BCTC website is continually reviewed and kept up-to-date post audit. Reduced content management support in our area (90% reduction) by implementing tiered management and support process.
Involved in local redesign and CMS integration efforts in 2005-2006 when the Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) (formerly LCC) website moved to KCTCS; in 2008-2009 when we implemented Sitecore (KCTCS Initiative – Local Lead), and again in 2014 when all college websites were refreshed (Local Lead).

Designed, planned, and assisted with the development of a more effective data management solution for selective admissions. Transitioned database from MS Access to a PHP/MySQL web module within the Information Technology Enterprise System (ITES). Student interface and admissions back-end allow for data management and automated ranking for program admission. Students can create their own Selective Admissions account, manage their own profile (update address, etc.), find out more about the selective admission program, express interests in programs (used for recruiting), check their application status, accept/deny their place in the program, and receive pertinent program information. Admissions has reported significant cost savings in paper, postage, and personnel time.
Project managed and assisted with the development and implemention a system for students to submit and manage their scholarship application(s), upload required documentation, and track their file status. Include administrative end on ITES for Financial Aid staff to process applications, manage student data, and run reports.
Conceptualized, project managed and assisted with the development of work order system for Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC). Developed an easy-to-use application interface for IT staff, and create a client-focused “submit and track” request system on our Information Technology Enterprise System (ITES). The integrated Bluegrass Information Technology System (BITS) interface allows ITS staff to track their work and allows ITS management to run reports, track, and escalate requests as needed.
Coordinated with Technical Services staff and Human Resources at Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) to conceptualize and develop a new employee technology request and verification system. Analyze current paper and fax methods for employee verification and identify and offer solutions on how web technology can ensure computer, telephone, and desired email requests are tracked in an online database, submitted to Information Technology Services for completion, and verified by Human Resources using one easy-to-use system. The system has eliminated the need for paper form submissions and has provided a method that has helped Information Technology Services provide faster service to our new employees.
Project managed and oversaw the development and implementation of a standardized workflow component for use in a new position approval system within the Information Technology Enterprise System (ITES). Reduced paper costs and a significant improvement in speed of workflow has been reported.
